Taking Backups & Restoring of SQL databases using Plesk
Applies to:
- Plesk 9
- Plesk 10
Backup/Restore using Plesk 9:
For taking backup:
- Login to your Control Panel
- Go to specific domain whose database backup is to be taken
- Under "files" section, click on "Backup Manager"
- Under "Tools", go to " Database Backup Repository"
- Click on Backup
- Select the database you want to backup
- After backup is taken, you can download it to your local machine.
For Restoration:
- Login to your Control Panel
- Go to specific domain whose database backup is to be taken
- Under "files" section, click on "Backup Manager"
- Under "Tools", go to " Database Backup Repository"
- Click on Upload Backup File
- Select the database you want to restore
Backup/Restore using Plesk 10:
For taking backup:
- login to your control Panel
- Go to the specific domain whose database backup is to be taken
- Goto tab "Websites and Subdomains"
- Inside it, Go to "Backup Manager"
- Click on "Database Backup Repository"
- Click on backup and select the desired database for backup
- Save the file on your local computer
For Restoration:
- Login to your control Panel
- Goto specific domain whose database backup is to be taken
- Goto tab "Websites and Subdomains"
- Click on "Backup Manager"
- Under "Tools", go to " Database Backup Repository"
- Click on "Upload Backup File"
- Select the database you want to restore.
