How to Create a Subdomain in cPanel?

Creating a subdomain in cPanel is a straightforward process that allows you to manage different sections of your website efficiently.

Steps to Create a Subdomain in cPanel

  1. Log in to your cPanel.

  2. Scroll to the Domains section and click “Domains”.

  3. Click on “Create a New Domain”.

  4. In the Domain field, enter your subdomain like this:

    blog.yourdomain.com

(Replace blog with the name of your subdomain)

  5. Uncheck the box that says:

    "Share document root with yourdomain.com"

This ensures the subdomain has its own separate folder and content.

  6. cPanel will automatically set the document root to something like:

    /home/username/public_html/blog
  7. Click Submit.
